Founded by the father-son team of Hugh and Beau, we are proud Nashville natives — with roots in the area stretching back to the earliest days of American settlement — dedicated to protecting the homes and businesses of our neighbors.

Hugh’s commitment to quality is backed by a high level of technical precision. A graduate of Montgomery Bell Academy with deep ties to the local community, he went on to earn an engineering degree from Georgia Tech. This background ensures that every project Vulcan Roofing touches is informed by sound structural principles and meticulous attention to detail — bringing an engineer’s eye to every shingle and seam.

Beau brings a different kind of experience to the business. Also a graduate of Montgomery Bell Academy, he is not one for a typical desk job. He worked as a deckhand for Ingram Barge on the upper Mississippi River. He supported the crew in navigating river locks with tows of up to 15 barges. Safety is the top priority at Ingram Barge, and Beau brings that same disciplined focus and commitment to maintaining a strong safety culture at Vulcan. An avid shooter, he enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time at the Nashville Gun Club.

Serving Nashville runs in the family. Just as Hugh’s father and grandfather built their careers as physicians caring for this community, Hugh and Beau carry on that tradition of father-son partnership and local service — only now, they’re keeping Nashville’s roofs overhead instead of its people healthy. For us, roofing is more than a trade; it’s a way to give back to the Nashville community that raised us. When not overseeing a job site, Hugh stays active with daily workouts and enjoys quality time with his family, friends, and pups.
